The weekend before last, the mock trial team competed in the district competition at the Bartow County Courthouse in Cartersville. Southeast was the #3 seed going into the competition, but unfortunately we were eliminated by the #2 seed in the first round. However, we had a strong showing with Roberto Duarte being named best attorney for the round and Hector Rangel being named best witness for the round!! This is the first year that there has been a round between the regional and state, so we got to see what it takes to get to the next level and will be back ready to work next year! Please congratulate any members of the team on a great season.
